I’d apologize for the hiatus yesterday, but I’m not really sorry, so there (yes, I’m sticking my tongue out because I’m super mature). It was a much needed respite.
You see, I have family in town, and they have been here since last Saturday night, so I’ve spent pretty much every minute I’m not working, hanging out with them.
We’ve been doing a lot of group activities, like hitting up the Nature Center.
We’ve been to the Science Center.
We’ve been to the Wildlife Education Park, who take in injured animals in order to rehabilitate them and release back into the wild.
We’ve had a night out on the town.
And it seems like we have been eating non-stop (all good stuff though).
Since we have been doing so much gorging, my body was craving something green and veggie-tastic.
After days of frolicking, socializing and working, everyone decided to go their separate ways Wednesday evening, including the Hubby who had a fantasy football draft. This is probably the first time I’ve ever been grateful for one his drafts. Being the introvert I am, I curled up on the couch with a bowl of leftover Ratatouille, my kitty cats, and some back episodes of So You Think Can Dance. I could have blogged, but decided I was due for a nice relaxing evening of “me” time.
It was a night of pure bliss (I know how to rage), so I don’t regret taking a mini-hiatus and indulging my need to be solo for just a bit.
Anybody else out there an introvert? Don’t you just love having your whole house / apartment all to yourself for an evening (just an evening, mind you)? Any good holiday weekend plans?
