Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Need more details? Head here.
♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Let’s get listing:
Last week was a big one for Ave and I because the Hubby started his new job. While we were fortunate enough to have him home with us in July, we are officially flying solo again, which also means this recap is gonna be a whole lotta baby. Brace yourselves.
Ave rocked tummy time; like a boss. She’s the old G of the nursery, and it’s possible I’ve been watching too much Housewives again.
(“But soft, what light through yonder window breaks.”)
We read lots of books (I have ABC Baby Me memorized), and we took a ton of stroller walks. Hooray for exercise.
Ave also rocked out with her butt ruffles out.
Ave nursed for a total of 9.5 hours.
We hit up the weekly lactation support group, our happy place.
We did a quick road trip to New York state and back on Saturday for family dinner, and I didn’t snap a single picture. I call this a blogging fail, also known as a real life win.
Ave was awesome too. She got passed around more than condoms at the Olympic games, and she took it like a champ.
Ave also spent lots of quality time with grandma and grandpa, which allowed me to do some recipe testing.
For my part, I did the typical adulting type things: laundry, folding said laundry, paying bills, running a vacuum, and even cleaning out our attic in preparation for some future company.
I also published two blog posts, including this sassy and sexy Cucumber Tomato Salad.
Since I like to end things on a boozy note, the Hubby and went to Nature’s Bin for their “Five for Friday” wine and food pairings. This month’s celebration was local beers and vegan eats.
It’s your turn. I want to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What are three things you accomplished in the last week?

“a blogging fail, also known as a real life win.” <- This was me the past week with my granparents, sister and P. around. It's infinitely better to spend time with the people we love when we don't just see them through a lense. Or are on the hunt for the best light/scenery/whatever.
Butt ruffles [and polkadots!] – Ave's sense of fashion is flawless ;). Cutie. Is she starting to crawl yet? Life gets really funny – read: more dangerous, too – once they figure that out, especially now that you're flying solo. Then again, I have no doubts you'll master this, too. Congrats on the hubby starting a new job!
You might know my usual opinion on burgers but that one right there? An entirely different and very intriguing looking issue. It's not helping that I'm really hungry right now.
Well now, that comment's all over the place already so I'll stop it here. Happy Monday, Meg!

No crawling yet. We’re still working on tummy time although it’s amazing how much she’s improved in the past two weeks. She even rolled last week, and I almost got a giggle out of her. It’s close.

HAHA. “What light through yonder window”…..Oh geez. Dying. 🙂
Pooey that the hub had to return to work – that time went by all too quickly I presume? – though I am not complaining about hearing about or seeing more Ave time. She rocks a mean ruffle.
And YOU rock a mean burger. What is that piece of glory?
Hope you two ladies get up to much fun mischief this week as well!

I can’t wait to see the recipe for the green burger. I’m all about that! This past week I finished the third module for school, clean the bathroom and made “planes, trains and automobiles” pasta. Yes, fun shaped pasta holds onto sauce the best 🙂

You will love the green burger because it’s VEGAN!!

Yes more butt ruffles please! Where can I get me some?? And Real Housewives are what I breastfeed Lulu to in the middle of the night… Privately in her nursery so daddy can’t hear the screatchy voices. It’s my mommy time. Or multi tasking. I keep it low so Lulu doesn’t hear the crazy and get any ideas, she’s got enough umph in her voice as it is.
My hubby went back to work pretty much as soon as the stork landed. Good luck and holler at me if you need anything although I’m sure it’ll be the other way around lol.
Lulu is obsessed with her tummy time already. I can’t get her to stop rolling on her tummy and she just falls asleep that way, if I roll her back she lets me know that shit ain’t gonna work mom. F you. So I’m her bitch. It’s cool it’s my fav job. Totes 🙂

My Hubby went back to work right after Ave, but then he had a month off in July and it was magnificent. Four hands are so much better than two, especially when it comes to all things baby. YOU are doing amazing. I know I keep saying it, because it’s true.
I think these babies are in charge the first year. After that, we can reclaim the reins. I hope anyway…..
The butt ruffle outfit was a gift but I think butt ruffles are fairly common in little girl outfits. I’m sure Target has some. 🙂

I saw that pic on your instagram with the $5 Fridays and somehow spotted the Jackie O’s beer. I went to OU and Jackie O’s is brewed in Athens and that Raspberry beer is the only one I eve tried. I love having small bites and beer or wine tasting. Makes a perfect date night! Have a great week.

I’ve stepped back from taking pictures of every single thing and it’s been good – I was totally burnt out on blogging about life, I think! That said, it’s a lot harder to remember what happens now since my short term memory is shot! We did go to Hershey Park last week and take a bunch of pictures, that’s about all I remember 🙂 Sounds like a great little family trip and grandma and grandpas are the best!
