Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Last week was a tough one. Ave went from Miss. Independent to Little Miss. Cling to Mom (sung to the beat of the Spin Doctors song). You know how I always attribute my fragile grip on sanity to my in-laws who harbor the tiny human on Monday and Thursdays. Yeah well, she refused to go to their place, so instead of repeating, “it’s just a phase” over and over again from the fetal position, I’m focusing on the positives of the past seven days.
Let’s get listing:
I’m grateful for cooler weather and comfort food. We went from running the AC one day to heating the house the next. In my former life, I would have layered up and toughened it out without turning on the furnace, but kids soften you; usually for the better. Although come to think of it, my dad always kept the house at a chilly 65 (18 Celsius). Hmm; either way, I was happy for the Fall weather and the vegetable pot pies that followed.
I’m forever grateful for nap time, which is still my favorite time. She’s so peaceful and non-argumentative when she’s sleeping.
I’m grateful for evenings out with some fabulous foodies while getting a sneak peak at The South Side’s new fall menu. Try the pasta; you won’t regret it.
I’m grateful for double chocolate zucchini muffins.
Last but certainly not least, I’m grateful for Juli’s white chocolate macadamia nut butter which arrived at my house on Saturday, and I am now hoarding like Gollum from Lord of the Rings. I’m obsessed in a stalker, probably gonna need a restraining order type of way.
What is something you accomplished in the last week? Big or small.
