Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back.
Need more details? Head here. ♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Let’s get listing:
- The Hubby and I wrapped all the presents while binge watching episodes of Breaking Bad.
- We followed it up the next day with a pizza date at Mellow Mushroom.
- We made Orange Cranberry White Chocolate Scones for the neighbors. It’s safe to say we kept one or two for ourselves.
- We had dinner at Crop Bistro with friends, where I happily ate Balsamic Popcorn and Pumpkin Ravioli.
- We drove to Buffalo and back to see my family and spend time with my boys, Rooster and Hudson.
- We celebrated four Christmas’ in three days, including one at our own house.
- In other non-holiday news, I signed up for the 2016 CSA season. Hooray veggies.
- I also tried on piles of maternity clothes, paid bills, balanced checkbooks, and hit up Breadsmith for English Muffin Bread (swoon) and Nature’s Bin for fruits and veggies (face plant).
- Over the course of the week, I managed to sneak in a decent walk and a short run.
- Last but certainly not least, I spent half of Sunday decompressing on the couch with the cats and a fire.
Your turn. I want to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What are three things you accomplished in the last week?
Oh wow- what is that bread stuffed with cheese…it looks amazing!! I love the sound of balsamic popcorn- definitely need to try and recreate it at home. Glad to see you had a fab Christmas, Meg :)!

It’s Stromboli. My sister in law makes it every year, all different kinds too. Ah-Mazing!

It all looks delish!! But that PIZZA!! Drool worthy.

Thanks! White pizza is one of my favorites.

You have the best “real life” food pictures on the internet, period. Literally they are hurting me right now because I’m starving! Glad you had such a great week – food wise and fun wise 🙂

Aw shucks. Thanks Michele. It’s because my family lets me take as many pictures as I want, including moving stuff to different rooms for better light, opening blinds or standing on chairs. They’re pretty awesome those guys.

Yes please recipe for the scones! I am a sucker for them!!! I feel like no one eats them anymore because oatmeal is this huge thing. I will take a scone over oats any day! There was so much food at your house! It all looks amazing! When you say Buffalo, that is NY right? I grew up there!!! Such a great city, really good food!
Ellie recently posted…Weekend in Review [12/25-12/27]
The scones are my step mom’s recipe. They’re one of my favorites too, full of all my favorite things: orange, white chocolate, butter, buttermilk…mmmmm.
Yep, Buffalo New York. It was a great city to grow up in and I love the revitalization going on there now.

All the things!! You always make your pictures of veggies and fruit just as tantalizing as the christmas treats/calzones/pizzas. Such beautiful photographs of beautifully put together tables. So many amazing looking treats. And that restaurant!? Um, did you travel back to the Renaissance? That room is incredible. Glad that, amidst a busy week, you were still able to relax down with your “boys”, get out for a lovely walk and even still end it with your feet up and your fireplace. 🙂

That’s good because I happen to think the fruits and veggies are just as tantalizing as the sweets and Stromboli. My family does balance well.
The restaurant is in an old bank building. There are lofty ceilings with marble surroundings…it’s pretty cool.
Meghan recently posted…Week In Review: The Holiday Edition (#11)
I have no list. I’m off this week. Maybe that’s my list.
Still, lovely photos and everything looks welcoming–from the fruit to the pizza to the fire.
Well done.

I can’t even believe how good all that food looks. That bread stuffed with stuff with the little signs on them looks like my favourite. The picture of you with the dog is so hilarious. Love it so much!
Suzy recently posted…Week in Review: No Mileage Monday
No one noticed about the dog picture. Either that or they were too nice to comment. HA!
My family does food really well.

That Balsamic Popcorn looks amazing! I have never seen something so glorious before.
The Balsamic Popcorn was incredible. They has slivers of fresh basil, red onions and sun dried tomatoes mixed in as well. Really unique and really fantastic.

All. that. Food.
Send some over please? Especially that filled bread. OMG.
Our Christmas was so #strangebutgood. Never had a Xmas like this, especially my first stocking in my life. Need to make this a thing.
Lucie@FitSwissChick recently posted…Things I have grown too old for.
Yes, we know how to do food here in Buffalo and Cleveland. 🙂
Stockings should always be a thing. They’re one of the best parts of Christmas, next to the family, friends, and food of course.
Meghan recently posted…Week In Review: The Holiday Edition (#11)
Okay all the food but especially THAT BREAD!!!!!!!
That sounds like a pretty good week for you all the beloved people, pets and food considered. But my favorite part is definitels the one decompressing with the cats and the fire. So necessary!
Juli@1000lovelythings recently posted…Week in Review – Christmas Week
I knew you would love the bread!
Decompression time is absolutely necessary, which might explain why I went to bed last night at 8:15. 🙂

Wow everything you had looks so good. Like everyone else I am impressed with the popcorn and balsamic glaze. I need to Binge watch some breaking bad myself

You guys don’t have any snow! That completely boggles my mind. And so does all the amazingly good-looking food from your Christmas. I accomplished almost nothing worth noting over the past handful of days, and I’m loving it. I was hoping to get back int the swing of things starting today, buuuuuuut it’s been slow. I’m aiming for tomorrow instead 😉
I know, still no snow. The weather has been a bit surreal. We’re all waiting for the three feet to drop. Ha.

So can I be in your family please those spreads are something to rival. Ours consisted or the ever popular turkey dressing mashed taters and veggie trays. But this this is phenomenal. I’m in.

So much amazing delicious food! That’s what I love the most amount multiple Christmases 🙂
With only having 4 people here and only cooking one ‘Christmas meal’ (plus my organisation and efficiency in planning) means that I basically have no leftovers 🙁 so sad… We just have a fridge full of chocolate for some reason!
I adore those poochies, I hope you got lots of cuddles!

Yes, I’m so fortunate to have family close by, especially the kind who send you home with leftovers like white chocolate covered trail mix and peppermint bark. 🙂

Good grief. I wasn’t aware that I should have just followed you around all week and stuffed my face.
Have you guys finished Breaking Bad? The last 2 season disturbed me so bad I didn’t even want to finish it. But I id… because addiction is real.
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table recently posted…New Year, New Workout – Upper and Cardio
I’m struggling to finish Break Bad. We have the last half of the sixth season and like you, I’m not a huge fan. Disturbing is an understatement and Walt is really starting to piss me off.
Meghan recently posted…Week In Review: The Holiday Edition (#11)
i love it all, i will need to get myself on the stuffed bread bandwagon. i don’t think i’ve ever had a stuffed bread, which saddens me. i also love that you have christmas crackers, we have always had crackers as well. we can’t have enough bad jokes in our family. all the photos are lovely, and hudson and rooster and adorable 🙂 happy days
Stuffed bread, also known as Stromboli in this case, is amazing. The possibilities are endless.
I really need to watch Breaking Bad! I’ve heard such good things about that series but have yet to watch it.
It’s definitely interesting.

The popcorn might have been my favorite part of the meal too. They also had Truffle Popcorn. I’ll have to try that next time.
urgh. I’m kicking myself for forgetting to message you the idea for one of your week in reviews to be a year in reviews edition for the whole blog world to link up their year reviews!
Um…popcorn for dinner is no longer a myth! Also, your Christmas sounds fantastic!
