Eight Must Have Vegetarian Soup Recipes

October 5, 2016 by Meghan 28 Comments

I’m not a very good blogger.

Yeah sure I can lay down beats in my own off key way. Just ask the baby; we sing all the time, not very well mind you although she’s not complaining. Granted she can’t really talk yet, so there’s that. I’ve been known to make a mean muffin too, plus mounds of cheesy macaroni stuffed with a boatload of broccoli because veggies rock my socks off, especially when they’re smothered in cheese.

Here’s the thing, I’m not great at the whole promoting yourself thing.

I figure if I’m your cup of tea or barrel of booze, you’ll come back for a drink; hopefully often since hydration is important. If not, well then I hope you find what you’re looking for in some other frothy beverage. We’ve all got unique viewpoints and finding something which suits you is key.

Must Have Vegetarian Soup Recipes

That being said, I have a plethora of recipes on this here blog, so many that I’ve even forgotten a few, and that just feels wrong. It’s like neglecting your kids or locking your cat in the closet with a bible, a crucifix and one those church kneeler things. (Sorry, I’ve read Stephen King’s Carrie way too many times; if Oscar comes home covered in pigs blood we have a problem).

My point is I don’t often share my old content and that’s just a damn shame because there are some super scrumptious morsels in my arsenal and in my archives. The kind of tasty vittles you and I need to be shoveling down our pie holes right now.

I’m talking soup.

Tis the season after all, and considering I’ve consumed a bowl chock full of fabulousness the past three days and counting, I figure it’s high time I share with all of you.  Plus I need to work on that whole promoting my recipes business.

Without further ado, I give you:

Eight Must Have Vegetarian Soup Recipes

More veggies, this time with a peanut cilantro flair. This is one you don’t want to miss.

I want them all but the Thai soup would be my first choice. I never make soups. We both don’t enjoy soups in larger quatities and cooking two things for one meal is too much work right now. This being said I might need to try the Thai soup anyways. (I just opened the recipe in a second tab and the post’s opening line was pretty similar to the one today πŸ™‚

Don’t get me started with the lack of self-promotion. I am still seeking the switch in my head. I think I was raised to believe that self-promotion is something obnoxious. Like do good things but don’t talk about it. And this is somehow ingrained now.

Maybe we should talk more about how fantastic we are, shake up the old norm that you can’t talk about your good doings.

I could live on soup this time of year. I have so much love for those bowls of goodness, especially with a side of biscuits.

    Lol. Dear god. Too funny.
Okay, now back to the food. Heck YES to you promoting your stuff – food and otherwise – and heck YES to soup! Your recipes are always perfect, and I mean that. Everything I’ve made has been spot on and has become a routine make – that is pretty darn rare I’d say. I just hope I don’t become creepy if I’m the girl that keeps making all your food……
I really want to start with that artichoke one. And then the thai one. I want.

Your comment made my day. I love knowing people are making the recipes and really enjoying them. I put a lot of time into making sure they turn ok and the instructions are clear so it’s nice to get the positive feedback. Make as many as you want; I won’t ever think you’re creepy, at least not for that.

The artichoke one is my favorite.

The Thai soup!!!! I WANT IT. I hate having to think about the kids though. I wonder if they’ll eat it? Or should I just serve it to them and if they’re hungry they’ll eat it? YES.

Just tell them it’s vegetable soup with a spicy flair. Then let them garnish their own bowls with peanuts and cilantro and they’ll love it. I hope… πŸ™‚

We love, love, love! Soup! My personal favorite is ratatouille and I will look forward to making your version for sure. I have never had good success getting flavor into the broth of vegetarian vegetable soup and that’s the recipe of yours that I’ve got my eye on.

I make a wicked chickenless noodle soup with homemade pasta! Enough to lure the family. Yours looks outstanding!

Gosh, thanks for unearthing some of your gems for us! If sharing is your idea of self promotion then I hope you continue!

I know, right?!?! I have the same problem with promoting myself, which is probably why I have such a hard time sticking to social media schedules. But I’ve heard it said time and time again that you gotta be your own cheerleader, because if you can’t get excited about the things you put out, how can you expect other people to? Also that’s a general you, not YOU you πŸ˜› And now you’ve got me craving soups.

It was actually kind of cool last week and it’s getting downright chilly at night. Of course now it’s back to mid seventies again. Oh well, I can always eat soup. I love me a bowl of comfort.

I used to try to regularly pin my old content on Pinterest… but then some of my RL friends and family started following me on Pinterest and I feel weird about them possibly noticing that I pin my own stuff over and over again LOL.

I’ll happily promote this post for ya though. πŸ˜‰

You’ve got me craving soup, even more so because my heater broke and a tree crashed in front of my garage.

ANYWAY. This reminded me of your cauliflower soup which I (verbally prayed) Oscar would fall into.

I’m glad your pimping yourself out- You have quality on here and it was a delight to see Niki and her friends gorging on this ‘tropical smoothie’ which they found on here πŸ˜€
