Week in Review: The Portland Photo Dump Edition (#129)

April 23, 2018 by Meghan 37 Comments

Get you pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.

The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Need more details? Head here.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫

I’M ON VACATION!!! WOOT, WOOT!!!

Ave, the Hubby and I are in Portland hanging with the Fam-Jam, so I don’t have a proper week in review today. In lieu of our routine antics, I’m doing a photo dump instead because it’s easy, and you know I’m all about the laid back lifestyle. Besides, I’d rather spend my time frolicking and fooding (yes, I’m making this a verb) than spending hours in front of a computer, although it should be noted we’ve visited more playgrounds than plucky Portland restaurants. There’s probably a zoo trip in the works too. Hashtag vacationing as a parent.

And away we go…

See ya next week peeps. Blows kiss.

Now it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.

The dumplings look delicious and I love the photo where Ave is just contemplating the crayons! Very cute.

My sister in law made those dumplings like it was as easy as making scrambled eggs!! I was so impressed.

Love, love, love Portland (both the Maine and Oregon versions). Based on your pics, I am assuming OR??? The food and beer there is amazing. Hope you get to visit the Willamette Valley, even if you are there with a toddler! Have a great vacay!

Yep, Oregon. We have family there and it’s always so nice to visit. I can’t get over how much green there is. We missed the Willamette Valley this trip, but I’ll put in on the list for next time. Thanks for the tip.

Portland!! I’d say my… third… top places on my bucketlist. How’s the coffee??

That picture with Ave and the crayons is priceless. She doesn’t seem even remotely phased by the overflowing surplus of tools before her. Contemplating her next Rembrandt like its no biggy. Also who is this sister of yours and how can I get a wonton making lesson?

Yay for vacations and time with family. Yay for focusing on those things rather than a computer screen. You teach well. ENJOY!! <3

Lead by example I always say….

I can’t believe how quickly and easily my SIL makes wontons. I was so impressed. Maybe she can teach us both.

Eventually, Ave pulled all the crayons out and head them all on her paper. I think it was more entertaining than actually coloring. 🙂

I had the Portlandia theme song playing in my head while reading your blog post. Love the photo with Ave and the crayons. I noticed that they all look like they’re in very good condition. My toddler just discovered that you can peel the paper off crayons and snap them in half. Way more fun to her than using them to color.
