Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Last week was intense, in the very best of ways. I spent the vast majority of my time far away from home, the kiddo and the Hubby, so I could explore the corn fields and canning process in Indianapolis (try spelling that three times fast). It was magical for a hundred different reasons, and I promise to tell you all the delightful details in a future post. For today though, I’m keeping it simple…ish; this is me after all.
(Each plant produces an average of 100 tomatoes.)
Let’s get listing:
Monday and Tuesday, I was hustling to get everything done before hopping on a jet plane Wednesday morning.
I packed for my trip, which included a cluster of little things like laundry (clean underwear is good) and grocery shopping (so the Hubby and the tiny human wouldn’t starve).
I also made and packaged a batch of my savory Parmesan rosemary granola for a customer who picked it up while I was away.
After that, I spent the next three days living my best life in Indianapolis. I got to ride in the bed of a pick up truck, eat sun-ripened tomatoes directly from the vine and watch how quickly those same tomatoes get moved into a can for the consumer. Y’all they are fresh.
When we weren’t taking in the industry sights, we were busy being wined and dined. It’s a rough job, but somebody’s got to do it.
On Saturday morning, I was reunited with the tiny human who said, “You came back for Ave. You brought Ave chocolate,” and “I love you mommy” in that exact order. After lots of snuggles and some play time, we hit the road together to visit the family at a lake cottage a couple hours away. It was a picturesque and postcard worthy day.
On Sunday, Ave and I went back to the grocery store; avoiding starvation is big around here, and we hosted the in-laws and the Hubby’s brother, who’s staying with us intermittently this week for dinner; Indian take out for the win.
Now it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What is something you accomplished in the last week? Big or small.

“You came back for Ave” <3 <3 When I say "I love you" to Squish, she responds back with "I love Elmo!". Hugs are more her love language. That fruit plate! I'm very curious what you were doing there. My parents flew in to visit a few days ago and it's been awesome. Squish is getting super attached to them and the ratio of 3 or 4 (when my husband is home from work) adults to 1 high energy toddler is pretty perfect.
Meghan says
Hugs are a pretty good love language too.
3 to 4 adults to 1 toddler is magical.
I’ll be doing a blog post all about my trip soon. Stay tuned.

I’d say your entire week was picturesque. I was fascinated with your IG stories – all those tomatoes!! And oh my gosh their fruit presentation – I mean, what? Really can’t wait to hear more about this experience.
Welcome back. I’m sure that was somewhere in Ave’s subtext, as well. But you know… chocolate is chocolate.
Happy #150 <3

Chocolate always wins, at least for the tiny human and daddy.
I can’t wait to write about this trip; it was magical.

I’m glad you got to get away for a bit! And that AVe wasn’t scarred for life. Chocolate heals all. And granola.
Meghan says
The chocolate helped especially since Ave did not do as well with me being gone as she when I was in Atlanta. Sigh.

That’s the sweetest thing. Ave telling you her hearts true words since kids don’t messa around. I love it. Chocolate. Mommy. All the best things in life! Living your best life surrounded by mother nature’s candies and being wined and dined. Whoa! Sounds flipping magical! Do you deliver your city hippie granola?? I need some in my life!
Meghan says
I’ve only shipped City Hippie granola out a few times now because it’s expensive, but if you’re still interested, for you and LuluBelle I would make an exception. You can always come here too and have it on site. 🙂

I loved seeing all your stories from your time away. It looked like a fab trip both from the tasty treat side of things but also a deep general interest on how it’s all done. Farm to can , now that’s a tour I would love to do!
Then to end it with a blissful break away at the lake cottage… I can feel the calm from here!
Have a fab week lovely!

The savory granola is really fun. Perfect in creamy soups and on salads or as a replacement for bread crumbs in recipes. So much fun. Tasty too.
