Week in Review: The Tapping Out Edition (#140)

July 9, 2018 by Meghan 20 Comments

Get you pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.

The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Need more details? Head here.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫

Confession: I have no desire to write a Week in Review post today. In fact, I’ve hardly turned on my computer lately, and I mostly ditched my phone. My brain is on a technology revolt and I’m not trying to change it’s mind, pun intended. Truth be told, I’m kind of enjoying the extra time and freedom. It’s been weird and lovely.

In any event, I’m tapping out today, but here’s a video of Ave doing “ballet,” so you don’t go home completely empty handed. She’s a natural; snort.

It’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.

There’s too much going on now that the weather is nice and summer is here, and I need my down time to be just that. 🙂

Thanks lovely. I tried to comment on your blog earlier but couldn’t see the option. I’m sure it’s user error, but I’m glad you had a wonderful weekend in Pittsburgh with the Hubby. It’s such a beautiful city with all those rivers.

Well that video seriously made the start of my week – thank you. I’m also pretty stoked just to know you are saying ‘F’ it to the blog world this week and getting rid of the phone. Enjoy it. I’m sure you’ll feel a desire to come back, but give yourself till then. You da best.

Aaah, I love that video so much!!! <3. Squish is a little dancing queen at home – she'll dance to anything from hip hop to Raffi to Mozart. I thought she would love the toddler/parent dance class I brought her to. Ha! Why did I think I could predict that? It involved a lot of me hopping around in the circle while holding onto a 25 pound toddler. I got more of a workout in that class than I expected.

Isn’t that always the case? They love the things we don’t expect and have no interest in the ones we think they’ll enjoy. Pfft, toddlers.

I am so pleased to hear you are taking a tech break. I know David and I only did it with social media but the rewards were endless. I totally understand the weird but lovely feeling it brings. I honestly felt a renewed sense of calm. Hopefully you have felt it too 🙂
