Happy New Year!

Wait a sec, have I said that already? Crap, I totally did, earlier this week.

I’m getting forgetful in my ripe old age. How about you forgive me, and in turn I’ll reward you with the current happenings of my life? Deal? Deal.

It’s possible you’re getting the short end of this stick; I’ll make it up to you some day.

Current Book: I’m double dipping on the book front: Dragonfly in Amber, the second book in the Outlander series and The Girlfriend’s Guide to Pregnancy. Completely different, yet equally as enticing.

Drgaonfly in Amber (Outlander Series) and Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy

Current Music: forget music, I’m back on the podcast train with Season Two of Serial.

Serial

Current Non-Guilty Pleasure: a relaxation massage last night and a New Year’s resolution met.

Current Confession: I’ve had more people in my hoohah in the last four days than I’ve had in the last four years; excluding the Hubby of course.

Current Drink: coffee, just one small cup a day, which I savor like the nectar from the gods that it is. Much love to my girl Danielle for my new favorite mug.

Coffee I Do What I Want

Current Food: I’ve been on an egg-cellent bender. I should totally be embarrassed by my horrible pun; I’m not, although somewhere the Hubby is reading this and shaking his head.

Breakfast Bowl with Eggs, Beans, Sweet Potatoes, Avocado, Salsa and Cheese

An easy cheesy egg sandwich, delicious for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's the perfect way to get great and filling food in your face fast.

Breakfast Bowl with Scrambled Eggs, Black Beans, Asparagus, Avocado, Cheese and Salsa

Current Obsession: I’ve been eating and drinking my (pregnant) weight in fruit on a weekly basis. Obsessed is an understatement.

Christmas 2015 Giant Fruit Bowl

Blackberries and Canteloupe

Fruit and Spinach Smoothie with Oranges, Strawberries, Banana, Raspberries, Kiwi and Mango

Pineapple and Raspberries

Fruit Smoothie Mango, Kiwi Strawberries, Orange

Current Excitement: a wide open weekend with nothing planned. It makes my heart go pitter patter. it’s also much needed after the week I’ve had.

Current Wish List: a laptop, which doesn’t sound like the fan is going to blow up every time I open the lid. Shakes fist at technology.

IT Cookie Monster Meme

(source)

Current Bane of Existence: the mad monkey loving ban has been reinstituted. The official term is “pelvic rest,” although I call it “nasty shenanigans.” My new pimp suit is going to waste.

Current Blessing: coworkers who gift me with the loveliest of surprises: healthy cookbooks and candy, along with the nicest of messages. They know me so well. I appreciate them more than I can ever say.

Coworker Suprise Gift - Healthy Food Books and Candy

Current Indulgence: I drank the Kool Aid Spoons was selling and bought myself an Erin Condren 2016 planner. Let the listing begin….or really continue.

Erin Condren 2016 Calendar and Planner

Current Epiphany: health is everything and after much drama, including a little visit to the hospital, mine and the health of the Unborn Child is all good. Wild patterns are clearly my color.

Meg Hospital

Current Needs: a bigger bladder. This peeing every two minutes stuff is for the birds.

Current Triumphs: getting nearly caught up on my BlogLovin feed. I had an unexpected opening in my schedule, which bought me the gift of time.

Current Thankfulness: the Hubby who spent the night in the hospital with me and even brought me snacks, along with my pimp suit, my Kindle, a pillow, my loud ass laptop, the first season of Gilmore Girls, and a cookbook. Yeah, he’s that good.

Raspberries and Strawberries

Current Fear: having a child make their way into the world via my nether regions. Shudder.

Current Laughs: this, so much this:

Current Links: BoardBooster. I adore this site, which I use for all my Pinterest needs. It’s worth every single penny and they even have a referral program. Here’s the link to mine: https://BoardBooster.com/invite/PAXYR if the idea of having someone else do your pinning for you sounds appealing. I’ve been using it since August, and my time is easily worth $5 a month.

Current Mood: calm, which feels pretty incredible, after the last few days. I will happily take it and then some.

Your turn. What’s Currently going on in your world? Current book? Current obsession? Current confession? Current mood?

Oh hooray, so glad you and the Unborn are ok! May the healthy vibes continue infinitely!
So glad you like the mug, it’s the little things in life. Right?
I’m with you on the fruity kick but mine never looks that pretty. I go full cave woman on my fruity meals. Not pretty.

Glad all is well – memories of hospital stays are coming back, and also that girlfriends guide πŸ™‚ hope you get the most of your relaxing weekend with no plans – that’s my happy place too.

Also having someone take over my Pinterest sounds tempting for $5/month!

The Girlfriends Guide is pretty dead on accurate and funny to boot. I’ve even got the Hubby reading it now too.

I adore BoardBooster, it saves me so much time every week. They have a 30 day free trial so you can see if you like it. You should check it out.

I hope all is ok! I read What to expecting when you are expecting when I was pregnant and refused to read ahead of my week lol. So when I ended up in the hospital at 28 weeks with preterm labor, I freaked and said to the nurse – am I am going into labor? I am not ready! I didn’t read that chapter yet! Ugh, so funny but not! So much can go on in a pregnancy, it’s like we sign our bodies over for 9 months. Wishing you well πŸ™‚

Not even kidding — my mouth legit started watering after looking at all of those pictures of fruit. To say that I’m a little deprived on the fruit front is an understatement, and I’m getting a little tired of eating nothing but bananas, apples, and little oranges. As good as they are. Also, is it weird to say that I’m excited to see you start planning in your ECLP? I have this thing for seeing how people organize their lives πŸ˜›

I, too, have jumped on the Erin Condren train…I’m still undecided on whether it’s worth the fuss but any place where I can list is good in my books. And the only things on my list today are yoga and visiting old friends in CT so the weekend is off to a good start!

Here’s hoping the pimp suit doesn’t need to be hung up for too long! πŸ˜‰ Enjoy your weekend of open time and relaxation. I see you spending some intimate listing time with that new planner of yours.

My current book is Stuart Scotts memoir before he died of cancer last year. What a great guy and sportscaster! I totally validate that fruit obsession, the baby needs its nutrients and you need the beautiful tastes that fruit can bring. Have a wonderful weekend

I read something crazy like the baby only gets 10% or less of the food and drinks you consume. I guess it manages to get it’s own nutrients via the placenta. Go figure.

All that fruit has me wishing it was summer time! I am so bad at picking good fruit during the off season. Or maybe it’s the fruit with the problem. Also all your egg-y things look too good to be true. So fluffy!!
I am so glad you and the babe are A-OK. I can’t imagine all the feels you are having, but it makes me happy to read you have such an amazing support system!

Summertime fruit usually isn’t so hot in the winter. That being said, kiwis, pears and pomegranates are in season for a short minute longer and taste fantastic right now so go buy some of those. They’re delicious.

    Meghan,
My laptop fan went nuts over the summer, right before our vacation. The good folks at the Apple store fixed it right up, and even replaced my worn keys on the keyboard, for about $50 and 8 hours away from me. I was pleasantly surprised.

Glad you and the monkey are doing well. Keep it up.
