Week in Review: (#39)

July 11, 2016 by Meghan 47 Comments

Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.

The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Need more details? Head here.

Week In Review Button Final

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫

Let’s get listing:

As much as I’d like to prattle on (and we all know I can talk), I still need to pack for our annual weeklong family vacation at the beach; the one that starts today. Gulp. Granted I’ve got lists upon lists upon lists (no surprise there), although nothing in bags or a suitcase yet, so I’m going to have to keep things short and sweet today. You understand.

Long story short, last week we entertained (ordering pizza totally counts as entertaining), we caught up with old friends, we went out for eats and ice cream, we took way too many selfies, and we got dressed up for play dates.

Pizza, Salad and Caprese

Roots Burrito

Pistachio Gelato

Ave in the Sleeper

Meg and Ave as Bunnies

Meg and Ave with Flower Crowns

Ave in Blue Dress

Suzanne and Ave Three Months Old

Have a fantastic week everyone.

It’s your turn. I want to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.

Your pizza night looks so much nicer than ours! Ours is all still in the boxes and plastic, very un-fancy. Since we’ve been home and having people over a lot, I’ve become a paper plate person. My hubby hasn’t however and reminds me proper China is just better. Since he does the dishes i try to shut up.
Every day we reach some sort of new milestone and I reach some new goal. Whether it’s a walk with dogs, a shower on my own, or driving to get groceries by myself while daddy hangs with Lulu, every single day is new and different.
Yesterday was fun, my family and some friends came over and we had a burger bar party. We made three kinds of burgers – vegan and beef – and all the fixings you could dream of. It was great. I got to eat at the table with the grown ups and just fed Lulu there happily till she nodded off. It’s always nice to be able to join the adults. I never know when she’ll be up or hungry quite yet.
I adore Ave’s pretty dress, and all thecselfies are too cute for words.
Have a marvelous week my sweet mamma!!!

Every day is new and different with a newborn, and I’m so happy to hear you reaching new milestones. Going to the grocery story on your own and eating at the adult table are huge accomplishments. In those first few weeks, Ave had no real schedule. She fed on demand and ate pretty much whenever she wanted. You are doing great mama!

Ave keeps getting cuter because she’s related to me. Obviously.

I made two salads in fact. A green one and a Caprese so that makes me hostess of the year. I even put cucumber and mint in the water. 🙂
