Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Let’s get listing:
I celebrated gay pride week in my planner. It gave me all the warm and fuzzies.
I went for a run one day with Ave strapped into the stroller and snacks stashed in the cups. She was pleasantly distracted.
I cleaned out two built in bookcases and donated reading material to the local library.
Speaking of the library, the tiny human and I hit up story time one day and hung out in the kids area another for general debauchery and merriment. She almost shared her pretzels with another little person, but snatched it back at the last second. Ave feels strongly about her snacks.
We also spent a decent chunk of time in kids area at the gym one night. I’m trying to get the babe comfortable so I can leave her there while I work out. Right now she’s a little mommy dependent, and by a little, I mean she spent the first three minutes clinging onto my leg. Before we left though, she was running wild and free.
We also did a tour of the park playground and soaked up the sun at the local pool for the first time ever. Ave had a blast, even if she did need a nursing break in the middle of the water. Thankfully, no one paid us any attention.
(“We double dog dare you to try and take our snacks.”)
I paid off the balance of my student loans, seventeen years later. Cue happy dance complete with jazz hands and booty shaking.
I got frisky with my farmers market finds, not to mention the naughty things I did with my CSA.
I pulled weeds in the yard and staked up tomato plants in the garden.
I went on a random Tuesday lunch date with the Hubby, complete with beer and BLT’s.
I finished season three of Downton Abbey (holy ending Batman) and season four of The Wire. Two completely different shows and both bad ass in their own way.
My favorite thing last week was hosting family for lunch on Sunday and getting to spend time with one of my favorite nephews. He’s home from Brussels for the summer, and I couldn’t be happier.
It’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What are three things you accomplished in the last week? Big or small.

Paying off your student loans!? CONGRATULATIONS! Holy wow that must feel awesome.
Excellent job with the planner, as usual. I’m lovin’ the celebratory theme. Also love living vicariously through you as you have these pool dates. I remember those so fondly from when I was little. It was the only thing to do in the little town where I was born so the pool was a biggggg deal.
Ave knows her priorities. Snacks are not to be messed with.

I desperately need to clean out my bookshelves…and return the pile of books to the library that don’t even belong to me and are long overdue. I love that you had a random weekday lunch date. I want that! And a BLT. Also, I think you win the prize for most accomplished this week for paying off those student loans. YIPPPPPEEEEEEEAEEE! ONE LESS MONTHLY BILL! Dreams really do come true.

Wow! Your week was so busy my head is spinning! Not like that scary movie, in a good way!
I adore Ave’s modest yellow and white swimwear! And she looks so sweet and demure in it. Nothing like the fakeout pretzel sharer not sharer that she is!
All of my children were leg climbers. Like little tattoos! At least Ave let loose eventually and played. We never got that far. After
All that I accomplished last week was lovingly tend my garden. And then resentfully do all the other requirements around the house that are expected and must get done. Somehow. I have seen the show Hoarders and it often involves elderly, and always plenty of questionable, gross under layers. I am also keenly aware that I have been doing this gig for going on 45 years. I don’t want to do it anymore. I feel I just stamped my feet like a 9 year old! It was very satisfying.

Getting rid of stuff is one of the best feelings, especially when it can reused or passed along. Woohoo for no more student loan payments!!! I’m happy dancing for you too and crying a little for me because holy guacamole college is expensive, and I’m juuust beginning the fantastic journey into college debt. Yippee.

Ok, that salad caught my eye! The feta and cucumber combination is something I cannot get enough of during the summer! And to eat it by the pool in a version of that yellow swimsuit that your daughter was rocking might just complete my life!! Huge congrats on the loans–such a big relief!

Dont worry Ave, I don’t like sharing my snacks either. Just ask David… Poor guy…
And oh yes that was quite an ending of season 3 of Downton… I still don’t think I am over it all these years later! Ha!
Hope you have some fun with your family over the next few days 🙂

Congrats on paying off that loan. Must feel awesome! While I have my fair share of rants about Germany I am forever grateful that university education is free!
Ave’s bathing suit and the look she gives your nephew are pure gold. Not to mention her death stare 😉
Yay for random in the middle of the week dates. Those are the best! Fingers crossed your gym plans work out soon. I bet it must feel good to get back into more regular workouts. I am trying to incorporate that more in my week as well and I love it!

You didn’t even mention your student loans when we were there. Congratulations! We need some celebratory bubbles for that one.
We had a great time visiting, you three are the hosts with the mosts. Kisses to all of you and thanks for everything. xx
Heather Shoberg says
Haha, seriously, though – don’t touch the snacks. Here’s hoping that Ave lets you start working out at the gym soon! That’ll be so nice for you when you get just a little more “you” time. It’s necessary!

Goodness, there’s been so much going on in your life lately, I feel as if it’d been forever since I previously commented. In a good way, though.
Ave and her snacks :D. Believe it or not but rumor has it I used to be the same as a wee one. Or not so wee one if we take that one picture from a kindergarten field trip into consideration.
Geez, when did your nephew grow that fast? I still remember him as a little one from previous pictures on here. Seems like he and Ave were best buds already so maybe she’s not totally anti-boys ;).
Go you for paying off student loans! The system is different over here but from what I’ve read it’s pretty insane for some of you.
Ave looks absolutely adorable in her new bathing suit. Is she a fan of stepping into the water?

Breaking out Ave’s new swimsuit I see. Looks great on her!! Sour lemons to match that sour attitude around her snacks. I mean, let’s be real, I wouldn’t share my pretzels too.
Way to go on the student loans! This deserves all the celebratory dances & drinks.
