Week in Review: The Picture Heavy Edition (#146)

August 20, 2018 by Meghan 18 Comments

Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.

The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Need more details? Head here.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫

I would love to share the down and dirty details with you from last week, but I am just so damn tired, mostly because Ave and I did all the things, and I do mean a holy crapton of cool and quirky things. My body is weary though and if my brain could talk if would say, “Sperplunky plunky plat, plat, splat.” It’s possible I’ve been reading too much Dr. Seuss.

Either way, I’ve got no juice left in the tank to peal off pearls of wisdom or walk out witty anecdotes. I can’t even formulate a laundry list of things, much less fold the clothes. In short, I’m gonna toss a ton of pictures your way and call it a day, or really go take a nap while the tiny human is resting. You understand.

Let’s get listing…er, I mean photo bombing:

(♫Ain’t no lunch date like a taco lunch date because a taco lunch date won’t stop.♫)

(Ave is working on perfecting her smoky eye, only with dirt instead of chemical free cosmetics.)

(Splash pad shenanigans.)

(Something wicked (ly awesome) this way comes.)

(Dancing to the beat of her own drum.)

(Picnics and performances.)

(People under the stairs (or bridge or tunnel or whatever you want to call it. Just know, it was badass.))

(Dog days of summer.)

Now it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.

No such thing as rest with a tiny human, and even less so this week, since my in-laws (i.e. babysitters) are on vacation. Gulp.

Ave is officially with the in-laws today so I totally intend to rest, right after I do all the things. 🙂

Love the outdoor concert pic with Ave jumping. We went to an outdoor symphony in a big park. I thought we will see how we do with my adorable tornado toddler but she did so well and actually sat and danced and listened. Oh and your brain sounds fun even when it’s tired. 🙂

I like to think my brain is fun even when it’s tired, but I’m too delirious to take note.

Funny how toddlers surprise us with their like of things we didn’t expect and fear of those we thought they’d love.

Loved seeing the pictures from your week. My absolute favorite was the one with Ave covered in dirt. That is how you know they are having fun – the more dirt, the more fun! What a great way to spend a week. I understand why you are tired!

All of those photos that include Ave are my favorite, the little joy just seeems to dive right into everything! Including puddles, sand, and garden variety dirt. Love her moxy!

I made the Thia Kohlrabi noodles nd that is a wonderful dish and on my repeat menu since it was not much trouble either. Thanks for sharing all of your good stuff!

Puddles, sand and garden variety dirt are Ave’s specialties. She’s a huge fan.

I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed the kohlrabi dish. This makes my day. Blows kiss.

I love a good photo bomb post, and when it features good food and Ave pucs even better!
The pics of Ave in the dirt is wonderful. My brother and I played in the dirt, water, up trees and in bushes way into our teens. That combined with our insane sense of imagination meant that we needed no stimulation to play, just the outdoors! I still love to play outside now and David loves it too. Not just for kids!

Ave tends to dominate my feed these days or at least my photos on my phone.

She loves getting dirty with her bestie.
