Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Need more details? Head here.
♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Mom said she was too busy this weekend to pen a post, although I think it was those margaritas on Saturday night. Either way, I said I would be happy to take over, especially since we all know my life is way more exciting than the tall mortal, also known as my personal milk dealer (cough, Poop Gate, cough).
Let’s get listing:
After staring longingly out the window for hours on end, I made a run for it, but was thwarted by those pesky big people. Damn them and their vigilant ways.
I nearly escaped at a LuLaRoe party though. I waited patiently for mom to look away for a fraction of a second, at which point I hurled myself off the bed in an attempt to fly.
Sadly, this did not work out in my favor, although it didn’t hinder my appetite. I fully intend to try this flying business again.
In the meantime, I’ll settle for the swings, especially since I now have my very own glider at grandma and grandpa’s house. The latter installed it for me last week. Boy oh boy, do I have him wrapped around my finger. Cackle, cackle.
I thought long and hard about all the exercise those funny animals do in my “Going To Bed” book. It seemed like a good time, so I made it a point to hit up the stair master every day. The endorphins are killer.
And much needed, especially when you think about our current political state. Every time I pause to ponder our president, I feel dejected.
I cheered when Trumpcare didn’t even make it to a vote though. How anyone can associate those two words together is beyond me. Talk about an oxymoron, with emphasis on the moron part.
Last but not least, I joined my milk dealers public banana campaign. She says, “I’m a natural.”
It’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What are three things you accomplished in the last week? Big or small?
Little Ave!!!! I love her “nasty like mommy” shirt! I totally feel you on the head bonks. Jonas was the WORST at running into/falling off of things. He always had a knot on his head. I had to stop myself from explaining his war wounds to strangers. I survived a weekend solo parenting while Jody was away at a bachelor party. I’ll consider survival an accomplishment.

A weekend of solo parenting three young ones….um, I’d say you deserve a medal or at the very least a drink accompanied by a foot rub, Kudos momma.

What a precious, active little cutie 🙂
Yep, pretty much,

Little cute, and she is getting so big! And hoping the little falls/scraps/bruises will just toughen her up. I work with some pretty soft elementary students. The other day a girl cried bc a hula hoop hit her in the head, come on!

Ave is pretty tough, unless she’s really tired or hungry and then watch out …so kind of like us. Ha!
Meghan recently posted…Week in Review: The Tiny Human Takes Over (#76)
Oh Ave. Don’t parents just ruin all the fun? Better luck next time in your flying endeavors. Some practice on that glider of yours sounds like the right approach. You keep those adults wrapped around your little finger now!…. and thanks for putting such a smile on my face this morning.

Get used to it Ave, grown ups can be such a drag sometimes. Keep flying! One day those pesky limbs will cooperate the way you want them to. 😉

I CAN’T DO THIS ANYMORE!!! I CAN’T HANDLE HOW CUTE AVE IS!!!! Meghan she is gold, pure gold. That fall must have freaked you out though. I’m glad she’s okay. I dropped Jake while I was carrying him down the stairs when he was only 3 weeks old. It was in slow motion, and it’s a miracle I didn’t break every bone in my body trying to save him, but he definitely dropped from a respectable height. SIGH… Ave is getting so big now. I’m excited for her first birthday! I need to book the flight. Ha ha ha

Oh yeah, the fall totally freaked me out. It didn’t help she was teething all weekend and had an outpatient surgery for a blocked tear duct yesterday. It’s been a rough few days, although she slept 13 hours last night and is happy as can be. Sigh….
Book the flight already. You know your room will always be ready here.

I know, I love the onesie. It’s like wearing your politics on your sleeve. 🙂
Meghan recently posted…Week in Review: The Tiny Human Takes Over (#76)
Dear Ave, I am praying for you that this whole political thing happening now doesn’t get so out of hand that it crashes and burns all possibilities for you and your sandbox playmates in years to come. It’s almost an out of body experience for us grownup too. But don’t worry your little banana smacking face about that right now, you just keep working on that adorable smile trick! It’s way better than tears. A quick hint, butterflies and birds fly, babies and toddlers drop like rocks and scuff up. Experience is the best teacher tho, unfortunately. Some learn quickly, some, Notsomuch! Keep on trucking lil girl, and don’t let the big folk catch up with ya! I see a great blogging life in your future!
I love everything about this comment.

I cannot believe how big she is already! Standing, walking, talking… wasn’t she just such a tiny little baby like yesterday?
Is this a banana toy she’s chewing on in the glider? Because if so I am not a bit surprised she’s rocking the public banana like a pro when she has a practice banana 😉 Just kidding a kid of yours must be a public banana virtuous 🙂
also yay for margaritas!!!

Double yay for margaritas. I’ve even had a glass of wine the past two nights. 🙂 Oh and this is mom talking and not Ave now. Ha!!
Meghan recently posted…Week in Review: The Tiny Human Takes Over (#76)
Ave’s public banana is pure gold! How could I ever compare to that! Ha! Can’t wait to show David this pic, he loves a cheeky Ave pic – and still goes on about how much he wants a bouncer like hers…
Have a wonderful week lovely!

She treats the bouncer like a swing these days. She runs until she hits takeover and then soars.
Tell David he can use Ave’s when she’s all done with it. 🙂

OMG – her head!!!! Poor kid. Poor Meg. I would have flipped my shit.
She is a wise girl though. Trumpcare IS an oxymoron (side note: that’s yuge word for a 11 month old!).

Hi Ava! It’s great to hear from you. ☺️ You have great taste in style. Loving that adorable shirt! Ah, the spoiiages from grandparents never get old. Hope you and your lovely mom have a wonderful week!

She’s got active down pat. Keeps me hopping.
“Dejected baby” face is the cutest. I bet that expression gets her whatever she wants when she’s at grandma and grandpa’s house…
The dejected baby face works on me too. Oops. 🙂
“My milk dealer” AHAH omg. PRAISE Trumpcare not going through..praise stair crawling, and GIRL that onesie is SO YOU. I want one in my size.

I’m sure we can get you your own onesie. I bet it’d look cute on you too.
Oh my goodness what a cutie! I’m the survivor of many attempts to fly at a young age, all I can say is never stop trying. Also you are totally rocking that onesie 😉

Why thank you. I thought the onesie brought out the color of my eyes if I do say so myself. 🙂
So cute!!!! I love photos 5th, her face is so cute when rejected. HaHa! “Last but not least, I joined my milk dealers public banana campaign. She says, “I’m a natural.” How you tell a story very funny, I can only laugh.
Dang it, Ave, I was convinced I’d commented on your fabulous debut post already – getting old already, I’m telling you ;).
Don’t tell your mum but I think those margaritas worked in the favour of us readers so you got to share a glimpse into your fantastic life with us. You’re an active little lady and if it wasn’t for those strict adults I’m sure you’d have had even more exciting adventures to share. Also, I want a onesie like yours. Dinosaurs rock.
