Here’s everything you need to know about me, bullet point style.
- My name is Meghan.
- I like big lists, and I cannot lie. Sir Mix-a-lot too.
- My list obsession has led me to host a link up about them.
- My brain is a musical place where random snippets of songs plague me.
- I’m a horrible singer, which in no ways stops me from singing.
- I’m 40 years old going on 28 with the sense of humor of an eight year old.
- I live in Cleveland with one frisky feline and an unexpected tiny human who turned two in April 2018.
- I am happily married to the Hubby, who thankfully no longer lives in a different state.
- He goes by ‘The Hubby’ because while I’m okay with sharing my life on the internet, he isn’t. Smart man.
- Speaking of the Hubby, a health scare (think brain surgery, literally) some years ago, coupled with joining a CSA, caused us to reevaluate our food choices.
- I strongly and emphatically believe food has the power to cure, heal, nurture and sustain, in part because it worked for us.
- I love food. I love cooking it, eating it, photographing it and writing about it.
- I fancy myself a clean eater, which is a vague term with multiple meanings. My long and wordy food philosophy can be found here.
- The short versions is I like to consume as many good quality, nutrient dense, ingredients in the right quantities.
- I eat the less than healthy stuff in much smaller quantities, and I try to keep it all as chemical and crap free as possible.
- I am hooked on veggies, which is way better than phonics. I’d also prefer them with a side of cheese.
- I love me some sugar, which I indulge in moderate amounts, and I do mean the real deal, not some synthetic substitutes.
- I think diets, detoxing and the like are full of shit and not sustainable, therefore not for me.
- I think most fast food restaurants and the things you’d find in the center of the grocery store are straight up garbage and very low on the actual food scale.
- I do love me some Chipotle though.
- I badly want to see changes in our current food climate. Can you tell?
- I’m a huge lover of all things local, especially my farmers. They feed me, therefore they have the keys to my heart.
- I love working out and exercise in most shapes and forms. I do it for my mental health and also to make my jiggly bits less jiggly.
- I did a Tough Mudder in July of 2013 with my family. It was a blast, and it speaks to my mental facilities, meaning you’d have to be crazy to do one of those things.
- Speaking of, my sanity is tenuous at best.
- You should take everything I say with a grain of salt.
- I have self-diagnosed, although no less valid, OCD and ADD.
- I am a structured planner and think spontaneity is overrated.
- I’m highly competitive type A personality, coupled with a side of city hippy.
- I love potty humor and talk about mad monkey love more than my family would like.
- My sense of humor is quite dry.
- And damned if I don’t like to swear. A fucking lot.
That my friends, or hopefully soon to be friends, is my abbreviated version of me. I hope you stick around, and if I’m not your cup of tea, best of luck to you. Although maybe you should try a mimosa; preferable a Beet Juice Mimosa. I hear they’re great for you.

I think I finally found my long lost sister.
Thank you for having dry humour and the mind of an 8 year old boy and being in the mid-thirties – I finally feel at home!
I take the spontanous part if you plan my life, k?
