A good blogger would have lots to share upon returning from a week’s vacation.
I am not a good blogger.
A good blogger would have stayed up until the wee hours last night, editing a bazillion pictures to share with all of you.
Instead, I opted to take a muscle relaxer and went to bed at 6:30 p.m.
A good blogger would be able to go in-depth on all the bike paths she explored and the countless ways she explored them.
Instead, I took photos of my sisters-in-law from behind. They had no idea, and now I’m a creeper.
A good blogger would tell you she spent countless hours playing with her favorite nephew, teaching him important life lessons along the way.
Instead, I got him hooked on social media. The kid’s a natural.
A good blogger would tell you all about the Tough Mudder and how she kicked some serious ass.
Instead, I’m withholding that information for another post and sharing a pre-Mudder picture, which I shall fondly remember as the last time I was actually clean.
Despite my very bad blogger status, I’m still hosting the Week In Review this week, so please feel free to link up and get your list on. Just because I’m a bad blogger doesn’t mean you have to be one too.
———————————————————————————————–
Interested in participating in the Week In Review…good, you should be.
Here’s how it works:
- Your post should be about all the things you accomplished in the last seven days or so.
- Your post can be about food, social outings, workouts, home improvement projects, fun excursions, none of the above, or all of the above. The idea is to recognize all the things you accomplished in the past seven days. It’s an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back. Plus you get to write in list form, which rocks my socks. Although if you want to stick to prose go ahead; it’s your world.
- Add the Week in Review button to your post, link back to Clean Eats, Fast Feets and get your list on.
- Or you can be like me and make up own your rules. If you can justify it, I’ll accept it. How’s that for lenient?
What did you accomplish in the last seven days or so? Tell me in list form and you’ll make me the happiest girl in the world.
Some Weeks In Review are in depth, others are not! I’m proof of that, Meghan. I think it’s just important to show up for the Party! The photos of you and your nephew crack me up! I may be out of touch for the next two weeks due to less than wonderful internet access. I’ll be around on Twitter and Instagram though. Take care!!
Safe travels Fran. I’ll see you on the Gram.
Screw being a “good” blogger, I think you’re one of the best! I never have my shite together when I get back form vacay 😉
Why thanks sunshine! Although truth be told, I still don’t have my shite together and I’m ok with that.
I’m always amazed when bloggers are able to recount every single second of their trips. When I get back everything tends to blur together and I’m just like “Yep, I want on vacation” and when someone asks what I did I’m like “um…” Short term memory loss at its finest 😉
Ever since you announced that you were doing a Tough Mudder I have been awaiting the recap and to hear how your knee held up (I hope well!).
I totally owe you a recap, and I actually can’t wait to talk all about it. It was an incredible experience and the knee held up….barely, but nobody else needs to know that. 😉
where did you go for vay-kay? I see there’s a boarder crossing involved.
Dude – get in line for the bad blogger award. I think I’m coming in first place.
Hope you had a great trip!
The trip was great. We went to Crescent Beach in Fort Erie, Canada. It’s right by the Peace Bridge on the Canadian side. I’m a huge fan of Canadians; you too actually, but since you’re from Canada, it all makes sense.
WORKOUT SUMMARY for 07/22/2013 – 07/28/2013
8 workouts
6 routes
23.5 total dist. (miles)
8.1 hours
2,278 kcal burned
How’s that for bad blogging–a cut & paste?!
I will say I’ve kicked the CSA’s ass this week, as the only thing left is a bit of broccoli (my daughter is snacking as I type) and a head of red cabbage we’re kind of afraid of around here, ever since the Grilled Radicchio Incident of 2007. I’m hoping to get over it tomorrow with some corned beef cabbage and potatoes, but we’ll see.
What else . . . lost my voice calling out numbers at a Hunger Study . . . gently encouraged more life skills in the children . . . and margaritas.
Have a good week!
I think cut and paste display efficiency, so you cut and paste away.
You totally kicked your CSA’s ass, and I want to hear the story behind the “Grilled Radicchio Incident of 2007.”
Weeks should always include margaritas or something of an equally delightful and drinkable nature.
Psshhh you’re one of the best bloggers! Even the way you approached this post is creative. And those things you taught your nephew are the best things a kid could know. 😉
I can’t wait to hear about the race!
You are too sweet. Thanks Liv.
Race recap coming soon….I promise.
I am so glad you had a blast, and I cannot wait to read you mudder recap. I think the fact that you enjoyed this trip and went to bed when arriving home makes you a GREAT blogger. Facckkk staying up editing photos..no way!! This week I…
1. worked a shitton
2. played with my cats
3. ate enough PB to power a car to the moon
4. drank a lot of coffee
5. went out to eat and ate until I hurt..hurt so good.
You did your comment in list form…..YEAH! I love that.
I also love cat antics because they are the best, second only to peanut butter. I think you need to shoot for Saturn on your next go round, and I can’t wait to share the Tough Mudder details. As a matter of fact, you crossed my mind a time or two while I was running!
I’m right with you on being a “bad” blogger today… I broke the rules of your link up and I didn’t even apologize 🙂
I can’t wait for the recap on the tough mudder (hopefully the knee held up!!) mostly because I could never imagine doing something that crazy! And yet you still looked like you had so much fun.
Your nephew is precious and you’ve got to start ’em early these days (some of my family lives out of state so we’ve had my youngest cousins hooked on facebook and skype pretty much since birth!)
I haven’t read your post yet (I will rectify that soon), and already I forgive you for being a rule breaker. Rule breakers kinda excite me.
My nephew is just the cutest, most well behaved little guy I know. I cute pinch his cheeks for hours, except he might not like that.
Race recap coming soon. I promise.
Ha Ha! Loved this post! I am a pretty bad blogger some weekends too! Great muscle shot! Can’t wait to read about the race!
I was impressed I even had muscles, but yep all that training paid off. I can’t wait to get my act together and write up the race recap.
you have GUNS!
…And you just made my whole week!
