Get you pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Last week passed in a flurry of snot, a teething toddler and vomit, although not necessarily in that order. Everyone around me, the Hubby, my in-laws and Ave, got struck with the plague, and I got covered in a pool of puke; literally. Kids are fun.
So if you should happen to see a rapidly vanishing, yet outstretched arm in a pool of quicksand also known as regurgitated berries, that’s me. If you could be so kind as to toss me a flotation device or a bottle of wine, I’d be so appreciative.
(Thank you Juli for my new favorite coffee mug. Your timing is impeccable.)
Let’s get listing:
Last week, I survived.
I took care of the Hubby, when I wasn’t managing the wee babe.
I fed myself and a teething toddler multiple times a day. Sometimes this included Chipotle. By the way, their queso is nothing to write home about. I would not buy it again.
I soothed Ave in the middle of the night, almost every night.
As such, I napped when she napped during the day. Hashtag necessary.
I did countless loads of laundry, including all the bedding, bathroom towels and kitchen apparel. Germs are bad, and I did everything I could to avoid the plague like…well the plague.
We hung out with Ave’s bestie a lot, who is also working on some teeth too. They’re a joy to be around right now (cough, cough). They even had their first physical altercation, which thankfully was short and involved a make up kiss (their idea, not ours).
Last week wasn’t all sickness and sadness though.
One night, I helped prepare and serve a vegan meal at the Ronald McDonald house, along with Chef Vickie at Urban Sweetness and Tricia, the blogger behind PTAOM. It was awesome to be a part of this, and I can’t wait to do it again.
The highlight of my week though was kicking off a new tradition with Ave: making Christmas cookies with my family. They came to town for a quick overnight trip so we could get our sugar fix on. We are a family of sweet teeth. Considering Ave ate sprinkles off the floor with her tongue, she is no exception.
(Our Christmas cookies are a little Salvador Dali, with a touch of Picasso and a hint of Georges Seurat; obviously.)
Now it’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What are three things you accomplished in the last week? Big or small. What are your holiday traditions?
