Week in Review: Mini Vanilla Gorilla Edition (#26)

April 11, 2016 by Meghan 83 Comments

Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.

The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Week In Review Button Final

Need more details? Head here.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫

I could prattle on about all sorts of exciting stuff from last week, like the fact I managed to shave my legs for the first time in longer than I care to admit or how I finally packed my bag for the hospital. As it turns out that last one was just in the nick of time too since my routine doctors appointment on Thursday afternoon had an unexpected, yet absolutely welcome result.

The simple fact is only one thing really matters right now. We got to meet our daughter, Ave Ruth (pronounced Ah-Vay), named after mine and the Hubby’s grandmothers on Thursday evening at 10:19 p.m.. Weighing in at 5 pounds 8 ounces with an overall height of 17 inches, she’s a mini vanilla gorilla just like her momma.

Ave Ruth April 10, 2016

Also, I survived labor with my nether regions mostly in tact. Oh and I totally asked for the extra stitch. 😉

In light of this recent development, you’ll have to carry on the Week in Review party without me. Just know I’m there in spirit.

It’s your turn. I want to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.

Meg, she’s the cutest! Well done you two 😀

Some time probably over some alcoholic beverages you have to tell me a bit more about the whole baby getting out there thing. You are the only person I trust not to sugarcoat things. Though on the other hand I better not get too many info until I decide weather to reproduce or not.

So when you can’t get the laundry done? Just remind yourself that you created an entire PERSON.
