Get your pads and pens ready because it’s time for the Week In Review.
The Week In Review is a list, in its purest form, not of the things you still need to do, but of all the things you have done in the last seven days. It’s an achievement list, an ode to yourself, a celebration of sorts, and a virtual pat on the back or smack on the ass. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

♫ You can do it, put your list into it. ♫
Last week the whole family hightailed it to Canada for our annual week long beach vacation.
Needless to say, and yet I’ll say it anyway since I tend to be a bit wordy, we hit up the beach on the daily. Ave was one smitten kitten.
We worked out a handful of times, doubling my monthly average. Boom goes the dynamite.
We had loads of fun filled cousin time, with a side of Prosecco and green radioactive moonshine because four kids under eight years old in one house equals lots of laughter, a little bit of wine and a side of stronger booze.
We ate, drank and were merry, minus the first full day where Ave was adjusting to her new surroundings.
We started and finished a thousand piece puzzle in five short days. It’s an annual tradition.
We toured old Fort Erie, complete with a gun show and by show, I mean two shotguns firing once. They were awfully loud though, and I have to give them bonus points for their attire. Plus, they fed us shortbread cookies, so no complaints here.
Also I got to meet this lovely lady and her equally awesome beau, who spent a day with us, touring the fort, drinking shandies, and chattering away. I love how first time meetings with another blogger feels like catching up with an old friend.
On Sunday once we got home, we did all the laundry, caught up on life, and I completely cleaned out and then restocked the fridge. Hashtag winning or at the very least, eating.
It’s your turn. I’d love to hear from you. Link up and get yo’ list on.
What are three things you accomplished in the last week? Big or small.

can you please come clean out my fridge?!

Mmmm that friddddge. What a good way to re-start your time back home. Mine most definitely does not look like that. But you’ve put a fire under my butt. I first wrote ‘in my butt.’ I don’t think that’s the saying, is it? Anyways,mI want that pretty-ness.
Being able to be a little slice of your week was like a beachy, summer dream come true. Your family seriously rocks. Every one of you. Hope you and Ave are both catching up on some zzzs. All that sun can do that to ya!

The clean fridge is giving me all the happy feels, especially since I returned to a science experiment or two in there. Oops.
It was wonderful to meet you in person. I’m so grateful you made the trip and I can’t wait to see you again.

Four kids under eight years old.. bless you! Some shine (the sun and the booze) was definitely needed, haha. Glad you had a fun time! I LOVE a clean fridge. I should do that this weekend.
Meghan says
A clean organized fridge gives me all the warm and fuzzies, kind of like that moonshine. Ha.

You got to meet Cora IRL!! Blogger meetups are fantastic because you spend a good chunk of time getting to know them through their writing, so when you meet in person, you kinda all ready know them.
Also your fridge makes me happy. Organization makes me happy.
Glad your vacation was a success, and kudos on finishing that beast of a puzzle.

Looks like a fabulous vacation! It looks blissful. I have fond memories of getting to hang out with my cousins when I was younger and Ave will have the same. I am also now really motivated to clean my fridge – ha!

Yeah it’s really kind of cool watching Ave make these memories with her cousins, and it’s good we have a solid chunk of time together. Of course now she keeps asking for them and they’re hours away. 🙂

What a fun little vacation! How was the weather in Canada? I picture it being really cold. And OMG your fridge looks amazing, this just inspired me to get a few things cleaned out this week.

The weather was perfection. Mid seventies to low eighties without a lot of humidity. It was glorious.

OMG I LOVE ORGANIZED FRIDGES. I hate hate hate my fridge. It’s one of those double door ones but it’s tucked into a corner of our kitchen at an angle so the fridge door doesn’t even fully open because it bangs against an angled wall. I seriously want to light the whole house on fire just because of that damn fridge.

Yeah that would be a huge problem for me too since my fridge is kind of my happy place. Although my Hubby usually comes along and moves things around just to mess with me. 🙂

I didn’t realize how big Ave has gotten until seeing that pic of her next to the baby. WOW! She’s still cute as ever though. Obv.
You’re fridge is so organized… I should send you guys a video of the chaps that is my life right now. Moving blows a big, fat, hairy one.
Also, SO jealous you got to meet Cora!!!

I love that you got to spend time with Cora while you were up in Canada. And I love that you got to spend time at the *beach!* And I love that puzzle. Love love love. Do you happen to know where I could acquire such a puzzle, or is it a been-in-the-family-awhile type of thing?

It was fabulous meeting Cora. Now I really need to see her in a play, doing her thing.
I’m not sure where my parents got the puzzle. They pick up a new one every year, although you can find them at any toy store or even Target.

What is this “cleaning out the fridge”? I’m not sure our fridge looked that good even right after we moved in.

what a lovely fridge you have, and what a lovely week you’ve all had! the beach and the water are certainly calling our names… so is my bed. lulu has this horrific diarreah and nappy rash that has me crying as much as she is. we’re doing our 2nd round of testing and this time for allergies. i suspect t’s eggs or dairy related because this all started a month ago, which is when i started giving her daily 1-2 eggs. she is happy as a poodle except when she goes no. 2, then it is horrible. i hate it. at least no fever but jeezussss i am praying on my knees for relief for my little sweet monkey!
Meghan says
Oh no, you and Lulu are still going through that hell! Aw, I’m sorry love and allergies are the worst. I’m gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best for you two. Sending all the love, hugs and anti-inflammatory drugs.

What a fun trip, eh? Oooh, what a great tradition. I love puzzles. They are completely addicting though. How many of you did it take?
So glad you and Cora got a chance to meet up! I have yet to fulfill my dreams of meeting a blogger friend in real life but here’s to hoping.
You got home from vacation… and cleaned your fridge?!! That’s insane productivity right there. Any way you could do mine for me? Hmm, no? …even if I paid you…?
Meghan says
There’s two of us who really enjoy the puzzle and go full out and a handful of others who are super helpful as well.
It was the most empty my fridge has been in months so I had to take advantage before I restocked it. 🙂

Well, I hope you’re aware I’m extremely jealous Cora and you got to hang out – the picture of you is too sweet! Though I’m obviously super happy for you and fully agree that it’s incredibly wonderful how first time meet-ups with other bloggers feel like meeting an old friend. Basically: blogging is awesome. Now we just need to make a meet-up happen, too.
While I’m not a real beach vacation type [can’t stand the heat, get headaches and bored just lying around], your version of it makes it look truly enticing. The first picture sums up summer fun perfectly.
Also: go you for cleaning the fridge the very day you returned from your vacation. I procrastinated on that for weeks and finally did it today.
